CIOBS - The Global Institute

Well, first things first as they say. I am sure you will all be delighted to know that Raymond rocked them in Rotherham and has returned home safely.

Welcome back Raymond. I am sure that the good folks of Rotherham enjoyed your visit.

Here at Drumsheugh this week we have hosted a few more of the Chartered Banker and related Diploma Revision sessions. The final course takes place on Tuesday 15th April.

Next Wednesday and Thursday sees a first. We are running a revision session for students of Apex 1 (2007 version) here at Drumsheugh. This is the updated syllabus and I am sure it will be a wonderful two days for the lucky participants.

Tomorrow will find me in South Queensferry. OK, I know it isn’t Rotherham and it is not far away from Edinburgh city centre, but it is next to the River Forth and that is good enough for me. Some sea air in the old lungs. Or should that be river air – who knows.

Our Chief Executive, Simon Thompson is off to Hong Kong this weekend.

Hong Kong,Rotherham and South Queensferry what a trio!

Do I hear the chimes of Midnight? “ What ?” I hear you cry.

Remember midnight tomorrow sees the deadline for submission of that second assignment and I know that I have mentioned this in the last three blogs, but, please do not call on Friday saying “oh I thought it was the 11th Michael” or “I forgot to put my clock forward two weeks ago.”

No excuses for late submission will be accepted.

You may have noticed that there is no CIOBS news podcast this week. There is a technical reason for this, but your favourite podcast will return next week.

I can also exclusively reveal that another of our staff is off traveling again next week - Peter Moir will be visiting Mauritius!! I look forward to hearing all about that one and I am sure that I will with all details included!

Land Ahoy!

Michael (not travelling too far at the moment)
